Saveology.com, a consumer comparison-shopping Web site, announced it is hiring 250 salespeople to work at its Fort Lauderdale headquarters.
Saveology.com has additional locations in South Plainfield and Edison, N.J.
The company’s Web site allows consumers to compare prices for telephone services, Internet access, insurance and more.
A Saveology.com spokeswoman told the Business Journal that the company plans to add the jobs during the next month. The employees will handle inbound sales calls.
The spokeswoman could not immediately say how many jobs would be full time versus part time, but did say benefits would be available for at least some workers.
“Although Americans are challenged by their day-to-day life problems, they still must have their essential services such as Internet and telephone,” Saveology.com CEO Benny Aboud said in a statement. “We provide what Americans need – a way to lower their cost of living.”
