Homes.org Toy Drive to Benefit Chris Evert Children's Hospital
 

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL -- /Sun-Sentinel/ -- December 31, 2007 -- Homes.org, the single source for consumers' home service and entertainment programming options, including cable, satellite TV, telephone and Internet service providers, has started its inaugural Toy Drive to benefit the Chris Evert Children's Hospital.

On the second visit on Dec. 11, homes.org presented more than 400 toys and stuffed animals to the Chris Evert Children's Hospital at Broward General in Fort Lauderdale. Dressed in a holiday theme with red and white hats, a caravan of staff presented each child with something to make their stay a little brighter.

The first visit was in mid-November, with more than 150 toys and stuffed animals delivered were provided to patients, and the play rooms within the hospital. The remaining toys will be used over the next weeks for playrooms and patients arriving and departing.

Mark Schumacher, director of marketing at Chris Evert Children's Hospital and his staff escorted homes.org staff as they visited the various units, and were informed of the many special programs.
